Dean Buckley

Chief Operating Officer

Dean Buckley is the Chief Operating Officer at ST Engineering iDirect where he leads the iDirect Program Management Office, IT & IT Security Operations, the Global Services Business, and Customer Success Engineering, where his teams provide excellent customer experience through customer support processes and continuous product validation against customer requirements. In addition, Buckley is responsible for the Global Performance organization, Global Supply Chain, and Global Manufacturing to ensure cost efficiencies, product and service quality.

Buckley has over 25 years in the satellite and radio communications field, with over 15 years at ST Engineering iDirect, where he grew his role from senior manager to COO. He has been responsible for multiple departments within ST Engineering iDirect, driving continuous improvement and growth initiatives. Prior to his tenure at ST Engineering iDirect, he was a senior engineer at SIAE Microelettronica where he was a lead engineer in the U.K. responsible for system design, deployment and support. He also worked as a communications engineer within the British Army’s Royal Corps of Signals where he was deployed on multiple operational tours, and became an RF and satellite communications instructor. Buckley was awarded the Distinguished Operational Service Commendation for his service in Sierra Leone.
