Sridhar Kuppanna serves as Chief Executive Officer of ST Engineering iDirect, a global leader in satellite communications. He brings more than 25 years of experience leading global research and development organizations, driving innovation, and bringing transformative technologies to market.

As CEO, Kuppanna is leading ST Engineering iDirect’s transformation toward a software-defined, cloud-native future for satellite communications. Guided by a vision centered on openness, interoperability, and AI-driven automation, he is helping shape an industry where networks operate more intelligently, adapt more quickly, and deliver greater value to customers worldwide.

Before being appointed Chief Executive Officer, Kuppanna served as Chief Technology Officer of ST Engineering iDirect, where he led the company’s technology strategy and spearheaded the development of its Intuition platform. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Ribbon Communications, delivering secure cloud communications solutions for service providers and large enterprise customers worldwide. Throughout his career, he has combined deep technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, translating complex challenges into scalable solutions that drive business outcomes.

Kuppanna holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in Computer Applications from Alagappa University.
