Service provides higher-quality connectivity, improved speeds, and cost savings across multiple markets

With DVB-S2X ground technology and new high-throughput satellite (HTS) capacity, VSAT is now more affordable and of a higher quality, making it a viable alternative to fiber connectivity for individuals and businesses across Mexico. AiTelecom’s network will improve connectivity and speeds while adding capacity for rural locations, enterprises, oil and gas companies, maritime operators and social inclusion programs. AiTelecom is also partnering with country-wide Mobile Carriers to provide 4G and eventually 5G backhaul services.
“Satellite connectivity represents a large opportunity for driving the challenge to reduce the digital divide in communities within Mexico,” said Orlando Castillo Trelles, CEO, AiTelecom. “With VT iDirect’s DVB-S2X platform and iQ Series remotes, our customers can access high-speed, high-quality internet, no matter how remote the location.”
“With our iQ Series remotes and DVB-S2X platform, AiTelecom can now deliver a better connectivity experience at a lower cost to customers across a variety of markets ranging from mobile to cellular backhaul,” said Darren Ludington, Regional Vice President, Americas, VT iDirect. “Our DVB-S2X platform will enable AiTelecom to scale its network as its business continues to grow into the future.”
