    iDirect is integrating with the 5G Core via an Interworking Gateway Function (IGW), creating a unified, standards-compliant access architecture that seamlessly connects non-3GPP access satellite systems with next-generation 5G services. Operators can leverage existing ground system investment and continue to utilize satellite-specific waveforms such as DVB-S2X and Mx-DMA MRC, ensuring reliable performance until the satellite-optimized 5G NR waveform matures.
