Sam Hoffpauir

Senior Vice President, Engineering

Sam Hoffpauir is Senior Vice President of Engineering at ST Engineering iDirect, responsible for charting the company’s current and strategic technologies, enabling the development of products and services for both the commercial and government markets. Bringing over 20 years of progressive technical and executive experience in telecommunications and cloud communications, Hoffpauir plays a critical role in fulfilling the company’s growth and vision through innovations and partnerships to advance the role of satellite technology as the industry becomes part of a much broader ecosystem.

Prior to joining ST Engineering iDirect, Hoffpauir was a Senior Director at Cisco Systems, Inc. (via acquisition of BroadSoft), performing a variety of leadership roles within the Cloud Calling organization including leading the global engineering teams for the WebEx calling platform and BroadWorks. At BroadSoft Inc. he co-created BroadWorks and drove the introduction of a number of industry firsts including the first VoIP Application Server, the first 3GPP IMS application server, and first integrated SIP trunking product.

He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisiana.
