Description
This training program is oriented towards NOC engineers or equipment integraters where the Newtec MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem is used. The course, a blended format of lectures and practical exercises, is presented in a clear and technical format. In addition to course material, each learner will obtain knowledge required to configure, monitor and troubleshoot the MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem.
After completing all associated materials, lectures and practical exercises, the trainees will be able to integrate, configure, monitor and troubleshoot the MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem in their day to day activities.

Prerequisites
Each learner attending the MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem training program should have a basic understanding of satellite communication and some familiarity with the concepts described by the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model applied to an IP network.
Next to that, the learner should have a basic user level knowledge of linux operating system command line interface and experience with Ethernet switch configurations.

Each learner attending the MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem training session must bring a laptop running Windows 7/10, administrative privileges with the firewall temporarily disabled.
