Course Overview – iNDC
The iDirect Network Design Class is intended for systems engineers, presales engineers, proposal engineers and network consultants within iDirect Hub Operators.
The Network Design Class covers in-depth iDirect iNFINITI Broadband VSAT product capabilities and complex network design issues. It will help the participants to make the iDirect Broadband VSAT business case and translate it into a competitive telecommunications service offering.
Participants will examine customer service requirements through multiple real world case studies and convert them into the optimum network designs with lowest cost of ownership.
Each case study is accompanied with hands-on exercises using the iDirect Network Planning Tool iNPT. Customer traffic characteristics and the satellite link budget are translated into the best suited network topology to determine hardware and space segment requirements.
Participants analyze customer application characteristics, IP traffic and bandwidth assumptions, IP QoS and service level objectives and map them to the appropriate advanced iNFINITI product capabilities.
Course Outline
Introduction
Designing an Internet Access Network
Designing a Corporate Network
Designing a Narrowband Network
Designing a Maritime Network
