iDirect Technologies and X-Analog Partner to Provide Distance Learning Solution for Old Dominion University

Herndon, VA., 20 March, 2006 - iDirect Technologies (iDirect), a company of VT Systems Inc, and X-Analog Communications Inc today announced their partnership to deploy an advanced VSAT satellite solution for Old Dominion University's (ODU)distance learning system.   This solution includes retrofitting ODU’s more than 160 existing classroom network with the iDirect VSAT system and X-Analog developed and manufactured hardware/software.
The ODU, located in Norfolk, VA is a recognized national leader in the field of technology-delivered distributed education.   The system upgrade will provide a cost efficient solution that will facilitate a voice return, video broadcast and networking connections from more than 50 remote locations to ODU's main campus. iDirect’s VSAT remote router will allow students to view courses in real time, using push-to-talk phones to communicate with professors and interact with other distance students, while achieving optimized efficiency and reliability for the university.
“It is always gratifying to be able to open doors for educational opportunities. Working with X-Analog to build a solution that allows Old Dominion University to expand their virtual classroom to new locations is something we are very proud of. We look forward to working even more closely with educational institutions in the future, to expand the reach of teachers and professors to beyond the classroom.”
