iDirect Technologies Awarded 2005 Teleport Technology of the Year by The World Teleport Association
Provider of Satellite Broadband IP Technology Recognized for success in supporting teleports with your broadband products

Herndon, Va. March 25 - iDirect Technologies, a privately held company that designs, develops, and markets the fastest, most reliable bi-directional satellite-based broadband IP solutions, was awarded the Teleport Technology of the Year Award by The World Teleport Association. This honor is awarded every year to the company in the satellite industry whose technology has best contributed to the growth and development of the teleport industry for a period of not less than two years.

iDirect received this award for their 5IF hub & Broadband IP VSAT System. The iDirect 5IF hub is a 20-Slot chassis designed for network operators with a need for efficient, high speed networks on one or multiple satellites. The iDirect hub can access of up to 5 satellites from a single chassis, and support aggregate speeds up to 360 Mbps. Multiple chassis can be configured within the same hub to provide virtually unlimited bandwidth. The chassis supports C, Ku, and Ka band transponders with carrier class redundancy.

"We are delighted to receive this award" said John Kealey, iDirect's CEO. "It's particularly gratifying to receive it from an organization such as the WTA that truly appreciates the improved functionality, efficiency and simplicity of a pure IP system over satellite. From the start we challenged our organization to develop networking solutions that went beyond traditional remote connectivity. iDirect solutions help satellite service providers deliver all the functionality of the next generation broadband network, beyond any geographic constraints."

The award was presented at the Satellite 2005 show in Washington D.C. Runners up for the award included Glowlink's Model 1000 DSP-Based Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System, and ViaSat's Linkstar.

iDirect Technologies products and software solutions are used by satellite network operators and network service providers to deliver reliable two-way broadband services to enterprises of all kinds, supporting the most demanding applications.
