VT iDirect’s parent company, Vision Technologies Systems, Inc. (VT Systems; www.vt-systems.com), and its subsidiaries are providers of engineering solutions, products, and integrated systems and services. VT Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. (ST Engineering). As part of the larger ST Engineering family, our combined synergies enable expansive technology capabilities, leadership across multiple vertical industries and broad access to global resources for VT iDirect's network of partners.

iDirect Government, created in 2007, is a wholly owned subsidiary of VT iDirect and was formed to better serve the US government and defense communities.

Kevin Steen Kevin Steen
President and Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Steen is president and chief executive officer of VT iDirect, a global leader in IP-based satellite communications. Steen joined VT iDirect in 2010 and has served as a key member of VT iDirect’s leadership team, where he has been responsible for charting the company’s strategic growth across sales, operations and business development. Steen has led a major effort across VT iDirect and its global partner base to advance the role of satellite technology in the end-to-end telecom network; identify new market opportunities for satellite communications, and collaborate with VT iDirect’s ecosystem to co-develop industry-leading technology.

Steen has more than 20 years of experience in technology business development and operating executive positions. Prior to joining VT iDirect, he was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at SAP Americas, where he participated in strategic M&A activities.

Steen holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver. He sits on several boards in a financial and operations advisory capacity.



Chris NoremChris Norem
Chief Financial Officer

Chris Norem is chief financial officer for VT iDirect, responsible for the company’s finance and strategic planning efforts.

Norem was appointed to the position in February 2010, and previously served as vice president of finance since 2006. He also has held many other top financial positions at U.S. companies, including Sprint Nextel and eLink Communications, since beginning his finance career over 17 years ago.

Under Norem’s leadership, he has helped VT iDirect increase operations internationally and become the second largest enterprise VSAT systems manufacturer in the world.

Norem is a graduate of Radford University in Virginia.



Andy TomaszewskiAndy Tomaszewski
Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer

Andy Tomaszewski is the chief information officer and chief information security officer at VT iDirect, where he is responsible for developing and managing VT iDirect’s computing and IT strategic plans, business applications, end user support, and management information services.

Previously, Tomaszewski held the position of vice president, Envisioning Services at CoreBTS, a technology solutions company. An industry-recognized expert in Security and Risk Assessment, he began his career in programming and architecture working at firms including Integrated Information Systems and Novell.

Tomaszewski holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned his Management and Leadership Certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and is certified in CISSP, TOGAF, and Project Management.



Wayne HaubnerWayne Haubner
Senior Vice President, Engineering & Emerging Technologies

Wayne Haubner joined VT iDirect as senior vice president, emerging technologies, in March 2015. Haubner is a 30-year software engineering veteran and has held senior roles in organizations ranging from start-ups to global corporations including DEC, IBM/Lotus and SAP.

Haubner has extensive, well-rounded experience in positioning development teams for their next stages of growth, and implementing new programs and offerings in response to market and customer needs. He is responsible for leading multiple development teams at VT iDirect, and provides guidance on how to efficiently deliver successful, innovative business outcomes to our partners.

Prior to VT iDirect, Haubner served at ADP as vice president, product development, where he led an 800-person organization through a variety of innovation and improvement initiatives. A collaboration of Haubner’s technical, strategic and management skills has and will continue to contribute to the success of many organizations.

Haubner has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Eastern Kentucky University and holds a CISSP certification.



Julie Bettinger Julie Bettinger
Vice President, Corporate Marketing

Julie Bettinger joined iDirect as vice president of corporate marketing in 2007. In this position she is directly responsible for the development of the iDirect brand, company messaging and marketing communication and channel marketing programs.

Prior to joining iDirect, Bettinger was vice president of marketing at TANDBERG, a global leader in visual communications. During her 11 year tenure with TANDBERG, Bettinger held various marketing leadership positions that were instrumental to the development the global marketing organization and TANDBERG’s leadership market position.

As vice president of marketing for the Americas theatre, her role encompassed the overall responsibility of strategic direction and execution of marketing communication programs and promotions designed to increase demand for TANDBERG solutions. These areas include corporate messaging, channel and vertical outreach programs, customer retention programs, events and public relations.

Bettinger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sheffield University, England.



Amy CahoonAmy B. Cahoon
Vice President, Human Resources

Amy Cahoon joined VT iDirect in October 2009 from SAP, where she was the global HR lead for mergers and acquisitions and a member of the SAP Labs U.S. HR Leadership Team. Prior to SAP, she held HR management positions in companies spanning a variety of industries, including Renaissance Worldwide (telecommunications consulting), FitzGerald Communications (high tech PR), Amicore (electronic medical record software), and Frictionless Commerce (supplier relationship management software).

Cahoon earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an M.A.T from Simmons College and she currently sits on the Board of Directors for StageSource Boston, an arts services organization advancing the art of theatre in the greater Boston region.



Caroline KahlCaroline Kahl
General Counsel

Caroline Kahl is general counsel at VT iDirect, where she is responsible for managing the company’s legal affairs. Kahl brings over 20 years’ experience advising public and privately held high technology, telecommunications and emerging growth companies. She has an extensive legal background in international business, complex technology agreements, risk management, corporate governance and intellectual property protection.

Prior to VT iDirect, Kahl worked at Ascom Network Testing, Inc., a leading global provider of hardware and software products and solutions to test, benchmark and analyze mobile network performance. She served as general counsel and a member of the executive management team.

Kahl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College and a Juris Doctor degree from the Catholic University of America.
